We are looking for a BIM Coordinator who will under little (if any) supervision, with excellent judgement, prepare technical deliverables in the form of Building Information Models, from sketches or from design information according to established standards and procedures. Also, be responsible for implementation of BIM throughout the UAE Operating Centre and perform BIM Engineering input and/or delivering detailed design on projects.

Duties will include, but not limited to the following:

• Develop the Building Information Models so as to prepare detail drawings based on technical designs utilizing advanced knowledge of relevant design and drafting principles.
• Prepare BIM Implementation Plans for each QOC project.
• Assist in the mentoring of trainee and junior BIM Modellers.
• Manage QOC’s project BIM models.
• Coordination of modelling, documentation and design work.
• Requirements validation and management.
• Prepare BIM workflow for QOC in coordination with UAE Operating Centre.
• Develop QOC’s Open BIM capabilities and achievement of Level 2 BIM implementation.
• Chair QOC’s BIM committee.
• Develop inter-office contacts network within GHD’s worldwide practice.
• Advise management and staff of advances and opportunities in BIM.
• Contribute to the overall improvement of QOC’s BIM capabilities and quality of deliverables.

To be successful in this role, you should posses:

• Excellent level of presentation and communication skills – both oral and written.
• Technical capability of BIM LOD 300 with knowledge of 400 and 500.
• Team player, cooperative with other staff with open sharing of information and knowledge.
• Ability to work without direct supervision in regard to modelling and documentation tasks.
• Ability to meet challenging deadlines and delegate tasks to staff in cooperation with Project Managers.
• Excellent judgement and decisiveness.
• Implementation of BIM Management systems across the QOC in accordance with RIBA Plan of Work and the suit of PAS 1192 codes
• Coordinating with QOC Quality and Delivery Manager.
