Job Description

Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced Community Manager to join our Community Management team at our studio in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The ideal candidate will come with intermediate experience in Community Management and Development, with a background in gaming. Your mission is to build, develop, engage, and nurture the player base of our studio’s flagship title, working cross-functionally with the game’s production teams to deliver awesome player experiences.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for communicating with our player base across our community channels, including but not limited to Discord, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Represent the player’s voice in internal discussions with project stakeholders and drive community-driven development.
• Own the planning, preparation, execution, and analysis of community engagement events.
• Produce and distribute communications for keeping players up to date on changes, upcoming features, fixes, and the development roadmap.
• Ensure the best possible experience for our players by monitoring and reacting to sentiment changes and delivering content and interactions aligned with players’ needs.
• Collect player insights, collate sentiment, and translate this sentiment into easily understandable and actionable feedback for the production teams.
• Host livestreams on our official Twitch channel to our audience, presenting them with upcoming exciting content for the game.
• Be a game expert. Invest the time to really understand the game you manage to better serve our player needs and appropriately develop the community based on this knowledge.
• Manage and grow the community-driven Content Creator program, encouraging user-generated content from our players.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• A passion for the gaming industry and a desire to build awesome communities.
• Demonstrable experience successfully managing and developing online gaming communities.
• English fluency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with interactive channels like Discord, Twitch, and modern game forums.
• Great knowledge of the video game industry and a desire to leverage trends for community engagement and development.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with managing an MMO community.
• Experience on camera, for example, live streaming or interviews.

Qualifications:

• Two years in a similar role with at least 1-year managing communities for a F2P game.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/work experience within Community Management.
