Director of Process & Transformation Vacancy in DP World: Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing the Business Enterprise systems implementation in the most effective & efficient manner (cost & fit-for-purpose) by following a well-defined Corporate Governance Structure.

Provide subject matter advice and guidance globally within area of remit, review processes, drive standardisation and help create a culture of best practice adoption.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all important technology / systems implementation and enhancements of Finance, HR and Procurement functions across the globe are well coordinated and project managed effectively.
  • To be intimately involved with the CTO, Digital Technology CFO, Group Financial Controller and Regional Business/Finance Heads and other key stakeholders to ensure digital transformation program and the underlying initiatives are being executed well.
  • Play a key-role in Data Analytics, by providing analytical information for various businesses, including engagement with the business/Group IT in developing and testing a global pricing model, providing insights from the data for commercial decision making.
  • Provide guidance to various Business Units in identifying and capturing Technology synergies.
  • Design Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and track the performance of various squads in realising strategic objectives

Review Processes & Drive Standardization

  • Establish a framework for documenting processes across the organisation in consultation with Region Review and map present processes across region and business units within defined framework
  • Implementation of the defined processes, systems across all Business Units & finalize road map of tech developments across regions
  • Define and document the processes for new businesses, when required
  • Create tools using technology to ensure accessibility to the process maps, procedures and work instructions
  • Establish dashboards/scorecards for relevant functions to ensure standardization of reporting
  • Conduct awareness sessions and trainings on Quality and Process Excellence as required across regions

Implementation of Systems & Technology

  • Get involved with Regions and Business Units for implementation of new systems / ERPs affecting Finance, HR and Procurement
  • Drive standardization globally and take conscious calls on exceptions required
  • Get involved with Technology team in identifying the right solution for business in terms of systems
  • Select right implementation Partner after reviewing and evaluating the scope of project and finalize the terms and deliverables with timelines
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders viz Operations, Technology, Support function teams and establish the project plan and ensure adequate resourcing for timely execution
  • Create active engagement with Users across the organisation to establish a culture of identifying root causes for performance gaps, identifying suitable solutions and deploying the same
  • Monitor data quality and support process owners to improve the same

Continuous Improvement

  • Deploy the program which encourages the spirit of Continuous Improvement across all Business Units – drive awareness and business value of same
  • Support Business units to Embed Continuous Improvement as part of their Day to Day business cycle and increased automation and digitization
  • Help to create a culture of Best Practice Adoption

Project Management & Project Portfolio Management

  • Support integration of new business to the processes of relevant Business Unit
  • Integration of the business processes to the entire portfolio across Business Units
  • Manage interface between business and IT development teams and support in developing the right solutions when improving processes
  • Ensure adequate resourcing at Business Units to deliver project outcome within agreed timelines
  • Develop and execute detailed test scenarios to test processes ensuring high quality output/solutions
  • Actively monitor project plan and ensure necessary escalations are done to HO / IT and Regional team in case activities on critical path are delayed.
  • Facilitate onboarding temporary resources in case project timelines are getting delayed
  • Help deploy solutions and support end users post go-live
  • Run training and refresher sessions for end users to improve data quality
  • Look for opportunities for using technology to fix recurring business challenges
  • Work closely with the Regional teams to identify appropriate configuration of technology being deployed to improve Efficiency of Business Processes
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of logistics industry trends and business best practices
  • Follow a liminate, implify, tandardise, utomate approach

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering (Information Technology).
  • 20+ years relevant experience in Project Management of Enterprise-wide Business/Financial Systems deployment in a global company. Project Finance professional who can work on strategic business priorities in flow-to-work model. Excellent Project Management skills required for this role.
  • Experience in Corporate Function in a Global Company, ability to communicate with people from different regions / cultural backgrounds. Effective communicator (written and oral), capable of influencing in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to handle complex data and financial analysis with multiple currency, detail oriented and can perform well under pressure and tight timeline.
  • Knowledge on the best practices, market trends, and the competitive environment. Experience in Agile methodology and Analytics would be an added advantage
  • Broad understanding of various systems and processes used across a Global Organization in various verticals and understanding of interface/integration of various systems.
  • Experience in establishing and running Continuous Improvement Programs and Experience in managing large scale organizational change in culture, management systems and Technology deployment.
  • Very good understanding of Corporate Governance & Security Standards. Qualification & Experience in IT Security and Audit is preferred (e.g. CISA/CISM/CISSP certifications).
