Job Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible mainly for New to Bank Asset Acquisition, booking and growing the asset book and building up his own portfolio through reaching an assigned target which requires the candidate an experience on preparation of high-quality credit proposals with the aim of maximizing the size Business Banking Asset Book.

The key focus would be to acquire, develop and grow the asset book without compromising on quality, ensuring the compliance requirements of CB, and Bank’s internal regulations.

Main Responsibilities

• To be able to meet all the budgeted targets for revenue, growth and customer acquisition.
• To meet the revenue, volumes and utilization targets for assets (Funded & Non-Funded Assets)
• To meet the revenue and volume targets as prescribed by the segment to meet the trade targets by way of growing the asset book.
• Drive and instill the right sales behavior in the team to get NTB business through setting up limits for deserving relationships.
• Maximize cross sales ratio within the growing portfolio.
• Emphasize on TRY revenue through LC products.
• To ensure timely completion of all review / renewals of accounts in the assigned portfolio within the expiry dates and synchronize common expiry dates of Group accounts.
• To perform quality risk analysis and prepare accurate facility applications to enable prompt credit approvals with minimal back and forth ensure relationship retention, development and maintenance targets by continually exploring and closing cross-sell opportunities.
• To ensure compliance with laid down instructions / procedures, including documentation and maintenance of Credit files, to reduce adverse comments from external auditors / central bank inspectors.
• Helping in identify and solve complex and varied levels of problems at a high level of complexity due to volume of transactions and/or importance of customers/customer segments in the territory.
• Conduct credit and customer analyses to support ongoing relationship and acquisition work.
• Involve actively in compromise proposals and restructuring arrangements in cases where the Bank’s lending is doubtful of full recovery.
• Provide risk monitoring through financial and non-financial analysis, industry risk analysis, highlighting strength and weakness of proposed facilities package.
• Meeting complex and high value clients in order to discuss and understand business model and the viability of asset booking.
• Satisfy the due diligence conducted in establishing borrowing relationships.
• Responsibility of following up with Risk Department with respect to credit approvals.
• Responsible for ensuring up-to-date compliance, KYC and client profile for each client as well as maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
• Responsible for assessing customer risk, suitability of products and explaining appropriate products and services to meet client requirements.
• Safeguard the reputation of Emirates NBD by employing best practices and acting in a professional manner at all times.
• Document all meetings and contribute to the reporting processes established in the team.
• Full awareness of all policies and procedures issued in relation to operational risk, sales processes, credit policy, credit lending, anti-misselling, money laundering prevention and KYC.
• Comply with the above policies on an ongoing basis and report any suspicious transaction immediately to the supervising manager(s).
